About this book
Bombo the Borb Finds Home is an early rough draft of a picture book that began with a character imagined by a gender-expansive neurodivergent child. Together, we wondered what it might feel like to be almost something everyone recognizes, but not quite. We co-created the story as an exploration of belonging, friendship, and discovering that home isn’t always where you expect it to be.
Like my residency proposal, Variations on Belonging, this early draft asks a simple question: What if the very thing that makes us different is also what helps us find where we belong?
